PressFilm

Pressure-Sensitive Film

Pressure assessment without electronic sensors

See Pressure on Film

Visualize contact pressure at brace pressure points to support fitting assessment.

No Electronics Required

No charging, phone or app required.

Multiple Applications

Assess pressure in scoliosis braces, limb orthoses and foot orthoses.

How It Works

A three-layer pressure-sensitive film

How PressFilm works

1. Base layer: colour-developing paper

White paper with a colour-developing coating.

2. Middle layer: transparent microcapsules

Pressure ruptures the microcapsules. Their contents react with the coated paper to form red marks.

3. Outer layer: transparent adhesive film

Secures the film to the brace surface at the pressure point.

How to Use PressFilm

Five steps for pressure assessment

Mark the Pressure Point

Mark the area to assess on the inside of the brace.

Apply the Film

Centre PressFilm on the marked area inside the brace.

Wear the Brace

Wear the brace for the assessment period specified in the product instructions and clinical plan.

Review Colour Intensity

Use the colour intensity to assess relative pressure.

Review Colour Distribution

Review the coloured pattern to assess the location of contact pressure.
